La Carisa Astur Roman Festival
This festival is held every year in the town of Carabanzo, Asturias , and recalls the struggles against the Romans.
The festivity recreates the battles fought throughout this area at the time of the Roman Empire, and the participants dress in the costume of either Romans or Asturs (the inhabitants of this region). The events represented include an Astur wedding and a typical market. Visitors can also sample the typical gastronomy of the period.
